Formation of Disk Flowers: Precious Centers for Maxi flowers (named after the sunflower, Heliantbus maximilianii, for Bouquet Collection arriving end of November)

On my bench today are these domed sterling silver disk flowers.  They are woven with silver wire and pyrite seed beads to form dazzling centers for a flower I’ve named Maxi.  Illuminating in the middle are aqua marine beads.  Inspired by Victorian seed bead jewelry they are a detailed design feature of my Bouquet Collection that produce variations, resulting in an individualized imperfect beauty.  I’ll post the completed earring ensemble on Tuesday.
